Polka Dot

Sine Silk presents the Polka Dot collection – a timeless pattern in a modern edition.

One of the most iconic patterns in fashion history enters the world of Sine Silk silk scarves. The new Polka Dot collection brings the brand's own designs, hand-finished edges and an innovative take on functionality – every scarf offers two entirely different faces.

Polka dots have returned season after season to the runways and collections of the greatest fashion houses, and this season they rank among its strongest trends. It was precisely this fashion moment that sped up the debut of a design that had long been waiting its turn in the sketchbook of the brand's owner, Agnieszka Saweczko.

„It is one of those patterns that never really go out of fashion. The collection matured for a very long time. This year I felt the right moment had come to show it to the world”

— says Agnieszka Saweczko, founder of Sine Silk

The new collection comprises four scarves, each available in three sizes. As the brand points out, the design process never focused on aesthetics alone. Since its beginning, quality of craftsmanship and functionality have mattered to Sine Silk just as much.

That is why every Polka Dot scarf was designed as two accessories in one. The two faces carry entirely different colourways, so a single product offers twice the styling possibilities. Depending on how it is tied or draped, the scarf can change its character completely.

„From the very beginning of the brand I have cared that a scarf should not be an accessory taken out of the wardrobe once a year. I want to show that it is one of the most versatile pieces in a wardrobe. That is why each of our scarves now gives you twice the styling possibilities”

— says Saweczko

A new development is the hand-finished edges – a deliberate return to the brand's roots and traditional craft. In its early years customers were not always convinced by this kind of finishing, yet from Sine Silk's point of view it remains the noblest and most precise way of working with silk.

„A hand-rolled edge is the detail that sets the finest silk scarves apart. It takes more time and more work, but the result is incomparable. For us it is a synonym of luxury understood as craftsmanship”

— the brand points out

The Polka Dot debut is also another step in the Sine Silk mission of popularising the silk scarf as a versatile, functional and timeless accessory. Though it is still not a basic wardrobe piece for most Polish women, the brand believes that the presence of polka dots among the season's leading trends will help rediscover the potential of this exceptional accessory.

The Polka Dot collection is available on the brand's website and in selected concept stores.
