How long does it take to process an order?

Accepted Answer

Orders are prepared for dispatch on business days, within 48 hours of the order being placed and the payment being received. The exceptions are the days before Christmas and sale periods, when processing — handing the order over for dispatch — can take up to 3 business days because of the high number of orders.

How long does delivery take?

Accepted Answer

The carrier's delivery time is counted from the moment the parcel is handed over to the courier (the “dispatched” status), not from the moment the order is placed.

Domestic parcels are delivered within 2 business days of being handed to the courier, but usually arrive the next business day.

For example:
• A domestic parcel dispatched on Tuesday is usually out for delivery on Wednesday, or on Thursday at the latest (the second business day).
• A domestic parcel dispatched on Friday is usually out for delivery the following Monday, or on Tuesday at the latest (the second business day, not counting Saturday and Sunday).

Exceptions:
• ORLEN Paczka – delivery can take up to 4 business days.
• InPost – although delivery usually happens the next business day, 1–3 business days is the standard.

International parcels – 2 to 14 business days. Shipped with UPS or Poczta Polska.

Do you ship abroad?

Yes, we ship to practically everywhere. You'll see the price of international shipping once you enter the address you want the parcel delivered to.

When will I get my money back for a returned order?

When we receive your return, the product is checked. If it is in perfect condition and there is no sign it has been used, we send the bank transfer to you straight away. The transfer takes up to 3 business days.

Do I pay for shipping the return?

Yes. The customer returns the parcel at their own cost.

PLEASE NOTE: we do not accept parcels sent cash on delivery (at the store's cost).

What are our products made of?

Accepted Answer

All our scarves are made of 100% mulberry silk.

Our scarves come in two different silk weaves – silk satin and silk twill.

Products from our other collections are made of natural materials and blends.

The whole Silk & Alpaca collection is a blend of silk (23%) and alpaca (77%) only.

What is the difference between silk satin and silk twill?

Silk twill and silk satin are two different fabrics made of silk that differ in structure and look. Here are a few differences between silk twill and silk satin:

• Structure: Silk twill has a distinctive weave of diagonal lines that form clear slanted ribs on the surface. Silk satin has a smooth, lustrous surface with no visible pattern (a shiny, slippery right side and a smooth, matte reverse). This comes from a special weaving method that creates long, unbroken threads on the outer side of the fabric.
• Look: Because of its structure, silk twill is more matte than silk satin, which has a glossy, shimmering finish. Silk twill also has a more visible texture.
• Properties: Silk twill is usually more durable and less prone to creasing than silk satin. It also resists abrasion and stains better. Silk satin is usually more delicate (almost fluid) and needs gentler care.

Where does silk come from?

Silk originally comes from China, where silkworms were bred and silk was produced for many centuries. China is considered the home of silk and has a long history of producing and trading it.

The first mentions of silk come from ancient Chinese texts dated to around 2700 BC. One of the oldest Chinese texts, the “Book of Songs” (Shijing), mentions silk. These texts reflect how important silk was in Chinese culture at the time.

In ancient China, silk was traded both within the country and abroad. It was a luxury material and its production was closely guarded by the Chinese authorities. The silk trade helped develop trade routes such as the Silk Road, which made it possible to exchange goods between China and other countries, including the Middle East and Europe.

Where are our products made?

Our scarves are made in Poland and in China. Most accessories are sewn in Poland from silk produced in Italy, and some accessories are made in China. All patterns and designs are created in Poland — mainly by the owner, Agnieszka Saweczko, but also by Polish illustrators.

Do we have products for children?

• Every scarf in the 53 x 53 cm size is perfect for a child's neck or head. The best example — and the most faithful tester — is the brand owner's 2-year-old son. With children, the properties of silk really matter. Silk is thermoregulating and breathable, so it's cool on hot days and warm on cold ones. It allows optimal air circulation and helps regulate body temperature. Silk is gentle on the skin and hypoallergenic. It suits sensitive skin and doesn't cause irritation or allergies. Silk absorbs moisture, so it's comfortable to wear in humid conditions. It soaks up excess sweat and keeps the skin dry (the ideal material for active children).
• Mini silk hair ties are also perfect for delicate children's hair. With them, hair doesn't tangle, break or get dented.

• Gentleness: Silk is naturally hypoallergenic and doesn't cause allergies, so it is less likely to cause allergic reactions or skin irritation in oncology patients.
• Breathability: Silk lets air through, which can help keep the scalp airy and comfortable, especially under a head covering.
• Temperature regulation: Silk helps regulate body temperature. It can help keep the scalp at the right temperature, especially during intensive treatment, when the body may be more sensitive to temperature changes.
